WHO WE ARE
ProgressiveChicago is a Church that brings progress to your world! Founded in 1919, Progressive is tethered to the rich legacy of the Black Church tradition while remaining relevant to the needs and concerns of our world today. From our multi-generational membership to the community around us, everything we do is designed to encourage the brokenhearted, energize the believer, and enrich the Body of Christ.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

When you arrive, you can enter the Progressive parking lot on Wells St. or 37th St. If the lot is full, there is more parking at the Air Force Academy High School. The entrance is on Princeton Ave, two blocks from the church.
Our parking team volunteers can point you in the right direction if you need help!
We encourage you to arrive 15 minutes early to allow yourself time to park and find a seat. -
We ask you not to bring any food and beverages besides water into the sanctuary. Thank you!

Progressive has a thriving kids ministry for your children ages 3-18 (except on the 1st Sunday of each month). The Progressive Kids environment is fun and safe. There is engaging, age-appropriate worship and biblical teaching. When you arrive, our hospitality team is available to guide you to our Kids check-in area.
Additionally, we have nursing rooms and soundproof rooms for neurodivergent visitors.

At Progressive, you'll experience a vibrant celebration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Each service has stirring worship, passionate preaching, and warm fellowship. Service begins with uplifting gospel songs. A powerful sermon to exhort and instruct will follow.
Service lasts two hours.
