Easter Initiative Official Rules & Regulations

Progressive Chicago is excited to launch our Easter outreach initiative, “Making Room for More.” This initiative is designed to encourage members to intentionally invite the unsaved and unchurched to experience the life-changing message of Jesus Christ during our Easter celebration.

Please review the official rules and guidelines below.

1. Purpose of the Initiative

The “Making Room for More” initiative is an evangelism-focused outreach effort intended to:

  • Reach the unsaved and unchurched

  • Encourage members to actively invite new guests

  • Create intentional space for spiritual growth and connection

This initiative is not intended to promote competition among members, but to inspire outreach and community impact.

2. Eligibility to Participate

  • Participants must be active members of Progressive Chicago.

  • Participants must register on the official church website prior to Easter Sunday to be eligible.

  • All invited guests must be unsaved and/or unchurched individuals.

  • Church staff members (full-time or part-time employees) and their immediate household family members are not eligible to win prizes.

3. Participant Registration

To qualify:

  1. The member must complete the official “Making Room for More” registration form on the church website.

  2. Each invited guest must also be registered.

  3. Guests must be properly checked in on Easter at the designated check-in area.

Failure to complete both participant and guest registration will result in disqualification.

4. Guest Check-In Requirements

  • All guests must be checked in at the Marriott Marquise 

  • Check-in must be completed no later than the 9:30a

  • Guests must list the inviting participants name at check-in.

  • Only guests physically present and officially checked in will count toward the participant’s total.

No retroactive registrations or post-service additions will be accepted.

5. Prize Categories

Children & Teens Category

  • Open to children and teens (ages 6–18).

  • The winner in this category will receive a Disney Cruise.

  • A parent or legal guardian must consent and accompany minors where required.

Adult Category

  • Open to participants ages 19 and older.

  • The adult winner may choose one of the following prize options:

    • Rent Payment Assistance

    • Mortgage Payment Assistance

    • A Trip to Ghana

6. Prize Restrictions & Conditions

Disney Cruise (Children & Teens Winner)

  • Cruise booking will be coordinated through the church.

  • Cruise details (departure location, dates, room type) are subject to availability.

  • Travel arrangements and additional expenses not specified may not be included.

  • Prize is non-transferable and has no cash equivalent.

Rent or Mortgage Assistance (Adult Winner)

  • Maximum assistance is $5000

  • Payment will be made directly to the landlord or mortgage company.

  • The winner must provide:

    • A current lease agreement or mortgage statement

    • A valid payment statement showing balance due

  • Payments will not exceed the documented amount owed.

  • No funds will be paid directly to the winner.

  • Prize is non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash.

Trip to Ghana (Adult Winner)

The Ghana prize includes participation in Progressive Chicago’s official mission trip to Ghana from November 9-19.

The prize includes:

  • Round-trip economy airfare

  • Hotel accommodations

  • Ground transportation in Ghana

  • Participation in official mission trip activities

The prize does not include:

  • Passport fees

  • Visa fees (if applicable)

  • Required immunizations

  • Personal spending money

  • Meals not covered by the mission itinerary

  • Travel insurance (unless otherwise specified)

Additional Conditions:

  • Winner must be available to travel November 9–19.

  • Winner must comply with all mission trip participation

    requirements and deadlines.

  • Passport must be valid at least six months beyond travel dates.

  • Prize is non-transferable and has no cash equivalent.

7. Determination of Winners

  • Winners will be determined based on the highest number of verified, registered, checked-in unsaved or unchurched guests, and an official live count will take place during the Easter service, and totals will be verified in real time

  • In the event of a tie, Progressive Chicago leadership reserves the right to determine a winner through a tie-breaking process. 

  • Final counts will be verified by the administrative team.

  • All decisions made by Progressive Chicago leadership are final.

8. Prize Announcement

  • Winner will be officially announced following Easter service

  • Winners will also be contacted directly using the information provided during registration.

  • Public recognition may occur during a church service and/or via official church communication channels.

9. General Conditions

  • Participants must conduct themselves in a Christlike and respectful manner.

  • Any attempt to manipulate registrations, falsify guest information, or engage in dishonest behavior will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Progressive Chicago reserves the right to verify guest status.

  • By participating, entrants grant permission for their name and likeness to be used for promotional purposes related to this initiative.

  • Progressive Chicago reserves the right to modify or clarify rules as necessary.

10. No Purchase Necessary

No purchase, donation, or financial contribution is required to participate or win. Participation is voluntary and subject to these Official Rules & Regulations.

11. Taxes & Financial Responsibility

Winners are solely responsible for any and all federal, state, or local taxes associated with acceptance of a prize. Progressive Chicago may issue appropriate tax documentation where required by law. Winners are encouraged to consult with a tax professional regarding any tax implications.

12. Release of Liability

By participating in this initiative, participants agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Progressive Chicago, its pastors, leadership, staff, volunteers, representatives, and affiliates from any and all liability, claims, losses, damages, or injuries arising out of or related to participation in this initiative or acceptance, use, or travel related to any prize.

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Travel-related risks

  • Personal injury

  • Loss or damage of property

  • Trip cancellations or delays

  • Acts of God or circumstances beyond the church’s control

Participants understand that travel, including international travel, involves inherent risks.

13. Travel & Force Majeure

If the mission trip to Ghana or cruise travel is canceled, postponed, delayed, or materially altered due to circumstances beyond Progressive Chicago’s control (including but not limited to natural disasters, governmental restrictions, public health emergencies, airline disruptions, vendor cancellations, or safety concerns), Progressive Chicago reserves the right to substitute the prize with one of equal or lesser value at its sole discretion.

No cash substitutions will be provided.

14. Disqualification & Integrity Clause

Progressive Chicago reserves the right to:

  • Audit registrations and guest attendance

  • Verify guest eligibility

  • Disqualify any participant suspected of fraud, misrepresentation, manipulation of registrations, or conduct inconsistent with the spirit of the initiative

All determinations are made at the sole discretion of Progressive Chicago leadership and are final.

15. Governing Law & Void Where Prohibited

This initiative is governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any disputes arising from this initiative shall be resolved exclusively in the appropriate courts of Illinois.

This promotion is void where prohibited or restricted by law.

By participating, entrants agree to waive any right to claim punitive, incidental, or consequential damages to the fullest extent permitted by law.
