God Can | Winning Against All Odds

Opening

  • God knows everything that is going to happen before it happens.

    • Therefore, God fixes everything before I get in the room.

  • There are two types of people in the world: the kind that don’t believe nothing and then there’s the kind that believe that with God, ALL things are possible.

    • Philippians 4:13 ~ I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.

Sermon Key Points

Optimism is a choice. Faith is a choice. Believing that your situation can get better is a choice.

  • Romans 12:2 ~ And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

  • Proverbs 23:7 ~ For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. Eat and drink, saith he to thee; but his heart is not with thee.

  • Philippians 4:8 ~ Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.

You have to win the battle in your mind. Seeing God differently can change your whole life!

  • Romans 8:31 ~ What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?

Fall in love with preaching because you need preaching.

  • You need preaching because you need faith. You need faith because without faith, it is impossible to please God.

    • Faith cometh by hearing and hearing is by the Word of God. You need preaching because preaching increases your faith.

According to Leviticus 13 & 14, other than death, leprosy is the worst thing that could happen to somebody.

Stop feeling sorry for yourself. Why?:

  • Because God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7)

God is on our side. He knows what you are going through.

  • Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him: but I will maintain mine own ways before Him. (Job 13:15)

  • But He knoweth the way that I take: when He hath tried me, I shall come forth as gold (Job 23:10)

You are a victor; not a victim. Our story ends in victory!

  • You have not been touched until you have been touched by Jesus. He will change your life just like He changed the leper's.
