The Blood Still Works

Opening

  • It was the death of his youngest daughter that turned John Clayton’s world upside down. He wanted to give up and even said “Tell the earth to stop. I want to get off”

  • Have you ever faced challenges so severe on the earth that you just wanted the world to stop?

God – having proven His power on the stage of the world – is now proving His pleasure in your life.

    • He is better than the friends you lost

  • The superiority of Jesus Christ soothes our sorrows and grants us a safe transition into the future.

    • God describes Himself as the God of Peace. God is the owner, possessor and distributor of peace.

    • The reason why God can call Himself the God of Peace is because He has taken His weapons of war and defeated our enemies, and now He doesn’t negotiate peace. He Himself IS our Peace!

    • The world tries to provide ‘knock-off’ brands of peace (i.e.: alcohol, drugs, money, etc.)

    • God offers you a peace that the world cannot compete with.

    • Although there is a war going on inside of us (stress, distress, problems, etc.), He is the God of Peace, which means if you welcome Him into your heart, God can give you peace!

    • There is only one place to get peace of mind – once you receive God, you got all the peace that world could ever afford. He will give you wonderful peace.

    • God can resurrect anything from death (including dead areas of your life)!

    • God accepted Jesus as the sacrifice for our sin because He raised Jesus from the dead.

  • God has proven His power by keeping His promises.

    • He is a promise-keeping God.

  • We ought to regularly praise God and shout for His glory & power in the world.

    • This ought to translate into you and I living lives bringing pleasure to God while we are here on earth.

  • God has equipped us for every good thing. We can do nothing without His enabling power.

  • He gives his breath to anybody who is alive, but He does not give His wisdom to everybody is alive. He equips you so that you can do what is pleasing to Him.
