Armoni Towner

Armoni Towner has been a PBC member since June 2022.

Born in Dekalb and raised in Chicago he attended Friends for Life Covenant Church until he left town to attend Tennessee State University for college. Towner came back home right after college to become an engineer for the Army Corps.

“I can’t remember a time that I haven’t believed in God. I was raised in the church and have just never left.” - Towner

Towner was saved as a preteen in children’s church. He wishes his journey with God was more exciting, but he has always just trusted him and realized that God was consistent in his life.  After finding a wife and moving in together, they searched for different church bodies throughout the city. They settled at Progressive after asking God for direction once they couldn’t decide on where to go.

“ The day we came we heard the announcement that Pastor Charlie was going to be preaching at both Salem and Progressive soon and that the church would need more members to step and serve in order for the post-pandemic transition to work smoothly, and I thought - well I guess that’s why we’re here.”

Armoni Towner is married to Leona Towner and they are excited to get more involved with their church family.

Experience Armoni

“I never really questioned God, I don’t want to call it innate faith, but Christianity is all I’ve known, and as I’ve grown older my belief has just gotten stronger.”
